Mystery

The Lord has given us the key to unlock His mystery when we come to Christ. Before we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, we don't trust the Bible, we don't understand grace or salvation or this 'christianity thing'. His gift to us is the Holy Spirit. After we ask Jesus into our lives, it just fits. Everything starts making sense, we are given renewed eyes and minds. Have you ever wondered after have a heated debate with a non-believer that left you blue in the face that maybe they don't understand because they can't? Sometimes it doesn't even matter what we say. If that person's heart is hardened to God's truth, and they are unwilling, we could be creating million dollar bills out of thin air and they still wouldn't believe us. So maybe our prayer should be that God would prepare their hearts for the words we will say, and the love we wish to pour out on them. And not necessarily that we will do things exactly right. Because in reality, it isn't about us at all. It's about God, and bringing his children home.
